How to apply

  • Prep the area: Clean, dry skin; remove oils, sweat, or lotions.
  • Anchor + wrap: Start with a light anchor, then wrap or lay the tape in smooth, even lines with controlled tension.
  • Follow the shape: Move along the muscle or joint in the direction of support, avoiding wrinkles or gaps.
  • Secure the finish: End with a firm but comfortable anchor; check circulation and adjust if too tight.

Sock tape is sock tape so it's hard to get wrong. A longer or wider roll may be better but for the little bit of football I get to play it's perfect. Quaility is great, holds my shin pads in place and tackiness is spot on.

I'm a serial purchaser of sock tape, as having started using it for ankle support and for holding shin pads firmly in place, it now feels wrong to not wear any. This means I get through plenty of the stuff and have witnesses a number of different approaches to this stuff, from the horribly sticky and hard to wear, to stuff that's a dream to put on.

This tape sits well in the middle of the options I've used before, it's good quality and seems fairly durable and is a flexible size meaning it's a little easier to fit if using to offer support to a joint or bodypart, but can still be used for socks/shin pads.

I'd say if using solely for shinpads and if you like to use plenty, you may be more economical going for a larger/wider roll, but if you are looking for support or are the kind of person that doesn't need to wrap themselves like a mummy, this will be effective and do the trick!

The tape itself holds against itself without any adhesive and stickiness and managed to survive an entire tournament in all weathers (including driving rain) this weekend, without the need for re-application.

This is great for keeping my little one’s shin pads on when she’s playing football. The mini shin pads don’t come with elastic so this is just the job. Feels waxy to the touch, it doesnt stick to skin, only itself so doesn’t pull any hair off. We’ve been able to store and reuse the tape which is great or you may go through it quite quickly as there isn’t loads on the roll especially if there’s more than one person using it. Good width though you can trim down if you need too. Can also be used for goalies on their hands and wrists. Great item for your kitbag. 5/5

Bought these for my husband as he uses them in football to keep his shin pads in place. Quality wise they are great. Felt super supportive and held the shin pads in place really sell. Strong adhesive compared to others we have used.
Price wise it's definitely on the high end. Husband is expecting to get only 3 uses out of this 1 roll of tape.

I use this tape for one of my dogs had a recent operation and I use this to support and cover the bandage. It prevents him from licking the damaged area. I also use it to wrap around my wrist to support it where I twisted it. It looks good and sticks to itself yet is easy to remove and leave no residue. The colour is strong and it feels tough. It's inexpensive enough to throw away once it get grubby.

Great tape, looks very fashionable very easy to apply and remains sticky once on.

Had a foot injury recently so used this and it really applied some firm pressure to the area but remained comfortable to wear all day.

I personally like how nice the tape looks. It goes over your foot and looks stylish while acting like a bandage.

Very effective for pain relief.

Decent sock tape (primary purpose for order), but possibly a little too wide for the discerning young footballer.

It also uses a fair amount per application so not sure how long this would last. It is easy to apply and quite sticky, but if an edge gets dirty it can unravel.

This may well be great to use as strapping for bandages etc, but as I ordered it to keep shin pads in place (as advertised), it doesn't really hit the mark.
